Safely Shipping Heavy Freight for a Medical Heavy Machine Company
A manufacturing company supplying heavy medical machinery was running into some serious logistical problems. Their machines had to be transported to clinics and unloaded by end users, which proved to be disastrous. The machines were shipped via a standard pallet with some wooden supports, and end users struggled to unload the heavy machinery; there was one workers' compensation claim that arose from this. There were some freight claims as well due to the lack of shipping protection. They needed something better. Foam Industries conducted research on how the product was unloaded by end users to create a fully custom solution: a ramped pallet with foam, wood and plastic that allows one person to unload the machine easily. The end result: no risk of injury, no shipping damage, and satisfied end users.
